Faith Formation

The Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Division of Catechetical and Pastoral Formation offers support to parish and school leaders in forming missionary disciples of all ages, on their journey to loving Jesus and His Church. Formation for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults fall within the responsibility of Catechetical Formation. The formation of catechetical leaders is the focus of Pastoral Formation. Gifts in support of the Annual Appeal for Catholic Ministries are instrumental in forming catechists so that they can form others through the truths revealed in Scripture, with the purpose of inviting them to a Christian life as Disciples of Christ.
