Some Maryland Catholics who went to the papal Mass Sept. 27 couldn't get through security, but they soaked up the experience just the same.

Pope Francis may have been in Philadelphia, but that did not deter more than 400 watching from the lawn of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen.

As a plane carried Pope Francis back to Rome from his U.S. visit, he said he pictured the faces of all the people he met, and he prayed for them.

“When he was finally in the room with us, I felt like time stopped for a minute,” said Angela Conti, remembering the pope’s visit.
