2015 Knott Scholarships awarded

The Knott Scholarship Funds have announced the winners of the 2015 Knott Scholarship Competition.These scholarships, funded by the Marion Burk Knott Scholarship Fund and the Marion I. and Henry J. Knott Scholarship Fund, have an estimated four-year tuition value of nearly $1.3 million.

Since its inception in 1981, Knott Scholarships have funded more than 1,300 scholars. This represents more than $20 million in tuition grants paid to Baltimore-area Catholic schools.

The following have received four-year, full-tuition elementary scholarships at their parish elementary schools in grades 5-8 through the 2015 Marion Burk Knott Elementary Scholarship Awards:

Madison Villarba and Andrew Villegas, St. Joseph School, Fullerton; Braeden Myrick  Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Baynesville; Samantha Moore, Immaculate Conception School, Towson; Sydney Luong, St. Margaret School, Bel Air; Christopher Brunal, St. John Regional School, Frederick; Joseph Robuck, School of the Incarnation, Gambrills

The following have received four-year, full-tuition secondary scholarships to a Catholic High School through the 2015 Marion Burk Knott (denoted by *) and Marion I. and Henry J. Knott Secondary Scholarship Awards:

Michael Howerton, from School of the Incarnation to Archbishop Spalding High School, Severn; *Leland DePole, St. John School, Severna Park to Archbishop Spalding High School; Kellen Zemanski, St. John School, Severna Park to Archbishop Spalding High School; Jenna Snead from public school to Archbishop Spalding High School; John Rozanski, from Sacred Heart School, Glyndon, to Loyola Blakefield, Towson; Francis Andrews, from St. Pius X School, Rodgers Forge, to Loyola Blakefield; *Mason Rush, St. Ursula School, Parkville, to Loyola Blakefield; *Jack Plumer, from public school to The John Carroll School, Bel Air; *Caroline Smith, from St. Margaret School to The John Carroll School; Regan Zeaser, from School of the Incarnation to Mount de Sales Academy, Catonsville; Colleen Roche, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Ellicott City, to Mount de Sales Academy; Andrew Sontag, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help to Calvert Hall College High School, Towson; Stacy Villanueva, from St. Joseph School, Fullerton, to Notre Dame Preparatory School, Towson; William Rogers, from St. Mary’s School, Annapolis, to St. Mary’s High School, Annapolis.
