Blue Ribbon Committee Issues Strategic Plan for Catholic Schools

Following a 16-month review of the Catholic school system in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the 17-member committee comprised of leaders from the fields of education, business and philanthropy - know as the Blue Ribbon Committee on Catholic Schools, issues its Strategic Plan and Report to Archbishop O'Brien on June 10, 2010.

St. Pius X School is Proud to Announce a Montessori Primary Program

St. Pius X School is pleased to be working closely with Loyola University to introduce the highly sought after Montessori primary program.  Loyola has one of the premier Montessori graduate programs in the country and its Center for Montessori Education houses the oldest Association Montessori Internationale (AMI)-accredited training center in North America.  The first classes of the primary Montessori program at St. Pius X School will occur in the 2011-2012 school year.  In the first year, the program will include three- and four-year olds.  In the second and subsequent years, the program will include students who are age three, four, and five. Read more. . .

Catholic School Students, Families Choose Name of New Catholic Elementary School

In an online survey conducted last week, students at five area Catholic schools were asked to name the newly created Catholic elementary school that will open its doors in time for the 2010-11 school year. The name receiving the largest vote total was: Holy Angels Catholic School.  Read the entire press release.

Catholic School Students Excel at Reading and Math
