Catholic Elementary School Students Donate Hair To Child Cancer Victims
Immaculate Conception School’s fourth grade Girl Scout troop will hold a “hair assembly” in the school’s gymnasium on Friday, May 27 at 1:00 p.m.
The entire student body of the pre-k to 8th grade school in Towson will gather to watch as over 30 students in grades K-8 have their ponytails snipped and given to an organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer.
The girls who are donating their locks will then have their hair professionally cut by several local hair salons that will be on-site to donate their services for the event.
This is the second year this Girl Scout troop has held this event at Immaculate Conception. The girls work throughout the year to organize the event on behalf of sick children.
