FACET DISCUSSION INVENTORY NOW AVAILABLE!

View Slidecast on FACET We encourage those who have used FOCCUS in the past to start to use FACET, by the publishers of FOUNDATIONS Newly-wed Newsletter. FACET is taken on paper answer sheets. FACET also includes a take-home section for extended discussion. Results are 4 pages and are emailed to the facilitator. Facilitator’s Guide is available FREE on the FACET website. Easy to administer in Pre-Cana or Sponsor Couple Sessions (You can be sure that the couple has finished!). Anyone experienced with FOCCUS facilitation will find FACET easy and effective.

  • Ordering FACET: You may now order FACET from the Archdiocese when you order your marriage preparation packets—no extra cost. FACET statements and answer sheets are printed in a special edition of Perspectives on Marriage Workbooks or may be ordered as a separate item. 
  • FOCCUS will continue to be available for those who have taken FOCCUS training (see below).
  • Have FOCCUS packets in stock but want to use FACET? You may swap them for FACET.
  • Try FACET Now! Cost: $20. (You will need 2 copies of the reusable statement booklets, $5 ea.) or order FACET Marriage Preparation packets (program materials for complete marriage preparation), same price as FOCCUS packets, $50.

HOST FACET-FOCCUS FACILITATOR TRAINING (also serves as UPDATE for Current Facilitators)

  • Sites needed for FACET-FOCCUS Training Sessions. Contact Lauri if you would like to host a training for your region. The training is on a Saturday morning, 9-12 Noon.
  • Dates available: October 2, Nov. 4, Feb. 5, April 30.
  • Learn how to use both Inventories. Host parish trains one couple for FREE.  $50 for new Sponsor Couples and $20 for Update for those who already have FOCCUS binders.
  • Can’t wait? FACET Training in Distance-learning format is available from our office. $40 for all materials and phone coaching. Call or email Lauri lprzybysz@archbalt.org, 410-547-5420.

DISTANCE-LEARNING MODULES FOR TRAINING NEW VOLUNTEERS

New Sponsor Couples, Pre-Cana Team Members, and Remarriage Sponsors are more precious than gold! Capture their enthusiasm when they come forward to serve in your parish by registering them to take a enriching and fun home-study training course.

  • Sponsor Couples register to take Part 2, Faciliatator Training (see item above).

Spouses work together at their own pace to complete the course that teaches them how to use the Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation packets and outlines, catechizes them about the Church’s teachings on Marriage, and enriches their own marriage.
